As a tea addict, it’s always nice to read about how beneficial tea is! It has so many benefits, from assisting with weight loss to reducing stress, there is a tea to suit everyone’s needs. It was hard to choose but I’ve picked my favourite 10 health and beauty benefits!
1. Weight Loss
Green tea can help speed up ones metabolism and ultimately assist with weight loss. It is, of course, calorie free and I find it a great alternative to water and other beverages. Great way to stay hydrated too!
2. Healthy teeth
This really surprised me and makes me so happy! Research has shown that tea can prevent cavities and decrease tooth loss. I always thought tea was bad for your teeth, who knew eh?!
3. Anti-ageing
Green tea contains catechin which fight the signs of ageing. No wrinkles?! Yes please!
4. Clears skin
The herbal tea Burdock, made from the burdock plant, is a natural blood purifier. Research shows that drinking it regularly can get rid of spots and help to prevent eczema. I’m definitely going to start drinking more of it, see ya eczema!
5. Reduces stress
I personally find having a classic cuppa tea really calming. Research suggests that chamomile tea can stop your mind from going at a million miles an hour and can help improve the quality of your sleep.
6. Calms tummy issues
Herbal teas can stop the bloated feeling, aid digestion and relieve constipation. A natural way of preventing stomach ills!
7. Reduces the risk of heart attack
Drinking tea can help reduce the risk of heart attack and also protect against cardiovascular and degenerative diseases.
8. Strengthens bones
Drinking green tea on a regular basis may improve bone mineral density and strength.
9. Increases happiness
Drinking green tea on a daily basis can relieve depression and improve your mood. Having tea certainly makes me feel happier!!
10. Boosts exercise endurance
Tea improves muscle endurance and basically makes exercise feel easier for longer (I personally don’t notice this benefit from drinking tea but I reeeeally wish I did!!).
Basically…tea is awesome, I hope you agree! Do you like tea?
I’m off to put the kettle on…thanks for reading!

I love lemon green tea so so so much! It’s my staple tea! I recently tried out Twining’s Wild Berry Tea cause I wanted to try it cold but it’s a bit bland I shall say. Also, my new fave is English Tea Shop’s “Apple Rosehip Raspberry Ripple” OMG YOU SHOULD TRY THAT IF YOU HAVEN’T!!! I feel like it tastes so good whether hot or cold π xx

As a tea lover, I loved your article.
I was extremely surprised to learn that drinking that wasn’t that bad for teeth as we always get told the exact opposite.
Otherwise, I really do not believe in ‘weight loss’ tea, what makes them work is that it demands you to eat healthy while drinking the tea, otherwise it wouldn’t work.
But I’m a firm believer that tea is one of the best, if not the best, stress-relieving.
Nothing better than a good cup of tea, a comfy blanket and a nice movie.
